Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

Also good for high-purity work. Characteristics: Chemically inert, nontoxic, heat resistant, with a low coefficient of friction. Doesn¿t deteriorate with age. Tough, but bends even at -454¿F (-270¿C). Translucent. Certifications: Resin is FDA-compliant (21 CFR 177.1550). Tubing is manufactured in ISO 9001-2008 approved facility. Temperature range: -454 to 400¿F (-270 to 205¿C) Sterilize: Autoclave, ethylene oxide, or use dry heat.

The Polaris Insulated Multitap Connector is an electrical connector that allows multiple wires to be connected to a single point. It is rated for 600 volts and can accommodate wire sizes from 14-10 AWG. The connector has 4 ports and is made from thermoplastic polyester with nickel-plated brass terminals. It is UL listed and CSA certified. The multitap is insulated to help prevent shorts and is ideal for splicing and extending circuits. This connector can be installed by stripping the wires, inserting them into the ports, and tightening the screws to secure the wires. It is manufactured by Polaris in the United States.

The tube has a temperature range of -418 to 896¿F (¿250 to 480¿C). Can be sterilized with autoclave, ethylene oxide or gamma irradiation.
